El Ranchito was created specifically to serve children and youth from low-income families. If a family qualifies for the federal free lunch program at school, a child/youth is eligible for El Ranchito. Eligible campers are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration runs through May 15, 2010. How do you register?
Visit the El Ranchito office at El Buen Samaritano Episcopal Mission to fill out all the paperwork and have a short applicant interview. Each child/youth applicant must:
Both a parent/guardian and applicant must come by to register and fill out papers. Each child/youth must have a health exam from a doctor before being accepted to camp. We will give you the health forms to take to a doctor or clinic. You return them to us when they are complete. No one will be accepted into camp unless medical forms are complete. El Ranchito's office is in the El Buen Samaritano Episcopal Mission education building at 7000 Woodhue Dr., Austin, TX 78745. We are located just inside the front door, next to the childcare center. Saturday Registration Session: Saturday, March 20, from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. noon El Ranchito Registration Office hours: Tuesdays, 9: a.m. - 1:00 p.m.; Wednesdays, 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.; Thursdays, 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Questions?
