Texas Rivers Expedition
El Ranchito’s traveling camp and collaboration with The Meadows Center for Water and the Environment at Texas State University, the Texas Rivers Expedition, is designed for 18-22 year-olds exploring education, career and civic engagement in water issues in the state.
Eligible Participants include: 18 to 22 year-olds who are graduates of El Ranchito Conservation Corps, or have experience with a similar program offering camping and conservation work experience, or interested college students who would quality for the Pell Grant program.
Dates: Mid-July 2019, 6 days, 5 nights
-Camping on Shield Ranch
-Explore Texas rivers, creeks and water treasures
-Do conservation work related to water and riparian habitat
-Make connections in the conservation community
-Learn the issues from experts in the field
-Test water quality and learn to use data
-Join the incredible El Ranchito community
