Who We Hire
Thank you for your interest in El Ranchito! Working at camp requires some experience working with children outdoors, eagerness to be a great role model, flexibility working outdoors whatever the weather, and excellent maturity in a group setting. Each role has specific qualifications, please see the job descriptions below.
Life at Camp
El Ranchito is a residential nature camp in primitive tents. All employees live in a camp setting without air conditioning and regular use of electronics. The desire to participant in a shared community is a must! Residency includes all meals, board and activities during staff training and the camp session. Staff have designated off and refresh time.
Health and Safety
Camper and staff health and safety are our highest priority. Staff receive training on guidelines and policy. Regarding Covid-19, we are following recommendations and information from the Centers for Disease Control, American Camp Association, the Texas Department of State Health Services, as well as our medical director and camp nurse.
